The Bronze Tier is not a small business tier, but seeks to optimize the personal financial habits and practices of aspiring entrepreneurs working towards conceptualizing and starting a small business. It provides beneficial information and practices for individuals who are W2 or 1099 wage earners who are early in their journey as entrepreneurs, but due to debts or financial challenges there is apprehension. Having good financial habits are a prerequisite to operating a successful business. Bad financial habits in your personal life, on the other hand, can carry over into your small business and wreak havoc on business operations. In fact, it would take less than a few bad habits to disrupt your small business. For example, do you have an emergency savings account? Do you track your personal expenses? How do you categorize them? If you find these questions difficult to answer, you may not be ready to start your entrepreneurial journey and will need time to create a budget and improve your financial health.
Having a budget is a great personal finance strategy, but is an extremely important prerequisite to starting a business. In fact, while many individuals site extra income as a trigger for starting a new business, poor financial management is often the primary cause for their financial challenges.
